On September 15, 2021, the day the state-wide mask mandate takes effect, parents, students and teachers are standing in solidarity with counties across Maryland to make our voices heard.
In protest, parents are choosing to do one of three things:
1) Not sending their kids for the day
2) Sending their kids without masks (instructing their child to remove their mask when they get off buses as this is already state mandated—also parents may be placing stickers on child’s shirt telling the school not to give child a mask and to contact a parent)
3) Unenrolling their children from CCPS and filing a Notice of Intent to Homeschool on 9/15
